Another successful Sockapalooza come and gone
It is precisely 12:40 AM. I just got home from Stitch n' Pitch* about half an hour ago. I am tired. I am dehydrated. And good lordy, am I sweaty, dirty, and downright *ripe* (It was, like, the hottest day of the year, whaddya want from me?). However, I knew I just could not go to sleep in good conscious without showing ya'll what I had waiting for me when I came home.

Rapid River Socks (pdf.) in Sock that Rock "Lunasea"

Cedar Creek sock in Claudia Handpainted Yarn in the colorway "Pistachio"

Sock blocker key chain (Cutest. Thing. Ever. Squeeeee!)
I am so beyond happy right now, Jessica. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Both socks are absolutely gorgeous, and they fit like a dream! (BTW, you must teach me how to do that nice stretchy cast-on! Feel so nice.) Two of the most squishiest and comfiest socks I've ever worn.
You really, really outdid yourself, Jessica. I'm the luckiest Sockapaloozer ever. :)
*More on that later. When I am not so smelly.

Two pairs? Lucky you! I must say that the Lunasea colorway has never impressed me much on Blue Moon's website, but seeing it knit up changes all that. Quite pretty in action. Enjoy them!

Wow, TWO pairs! Lucky you! And I'm really glad to see Lunasea knit up. I was curious about what those colors would actually do...

Those are awesome socks! And stich and pitch sounds a lot more fun to me than a regular old stich n bitch.

I am in love with that Claudia's handpainted yarn colorway. So lovely! You are rolling in socks now, wow. What an amazing sock pal you have! She really outdid herself, you lucky girl. Thanks for organizing us for the Stitch & Pitch - I had a fabulous time!

Wow - TWO pairs?? that's awesome. They are so pretty, too. What a great pal. I'd like to hear about Stitch 'n Pitch sometime - I think it might actually be sold out here in Houston, but I'd like to go next time around...

I love that keychain! Really really cute. Your pal outdid herself indeed. Yesterday was hot, wasn't it? I just hid out at home with the A/C as much as possible.
Posted by: connie at August 9, 2007 12:35 PM
Nice, nice, nice!! You were right to show them off. Jessica worked hard.
I've had my eye on that keychain for months now, but don't know if I would do it justice of knitting the itty bitty sock to go on it ;)

Ooooh I love the rapid river socks! The color is perfect. Mind if I link to them? Or is that something I should be asking the knitter?

Oh dude, beautiful socks. What a lucky palooza person you are! I may just have to get some of that STR colorway. I have to stay away from the Claudia's.. I have several colorways already!!

gorgeous socks! What a lucky sockpalooza girl are you! I hope you had fun at the game! Too bad Jose Reyes Spanish word of the day wasn't "Knitting"!

I want Jessica as my pal in the next round! I hope her pal was as nice and generous to her... but usually people as nice and generous as that don't really care what they get in return. We need more Jessicas!

PS Everyone must see this post so I submitted it to the Knit Plig!
