« Charade | Main | My last brownie :( »

April 30, 2007

What's doing these days

1) coveting this hoodie

2) mopping up the never-ending pool of drool that keeps accumulating on my desk, waiting desperately for this to arrive

3 looking forward to catching up with old friends over drinks after work on Wednesday

4) slowly making progress on my Ms. Oni opera gloves

5) taking noticably better pictures with my SLR since reading the owner's manual (which is especially pathetic since I've owned this camera to close to six months, oy vey)

6) considering upgrading to the 20-inch iMac. Operative word here is "considering."

7) totally loving the way Charade (psst, the pattern is to your right --->) looks knit up with Yarn Pirate sock yarn in "Rosie."

8) wondering who my Sockapalooooza pal is.

Hmmm. . .

Is it YOU??!

Cuz if you are, I just want to say. . .

"Howdy, Pardner!" smiley-faces-47.gif

I'm not your sock pal, but I feel your pain.

Love that hoodie too.

Posted by: Lisa at April 30, 2007 10:12 PM

Ok, what? You can buy food on etsy? Girl, you've just ruined me. mmmmm...chocolate....

Posted by: Lori at April 30, 2007 10:24 PM

Damn! I want the tee and the brownie now - you evil Sandra you.

Posted by: schrodinger at April 30, 2007 10:53 PM

I couldn't resist that hoodie. It just wasn't possible.

Posted by: Jessie at May 1, 2007 12:01 AM

Haha - I *just* posted that hoodie on my blog! I wonder how fast they'll sell out now that the knitters know about it!

Posted by: laurel at May 1, 2007 12:02 AM

Yep. I snapped up that hoodie as soon as I saw it. Beach bonfire hoodie, come to mama.

Posted by: nikki at May 1, 2007 01:25 AM

I may have to ask for the hoodie for my birthday... and those brownies... Those sound out right devine!

Posted by: carrie_penny at May 1, 2007 09:28 AM

I can't believe someone had the genius idea to sell brownies on Etsy :)
The hoodie looks darling!!
Your sock pattern is catching on, yay!

I am on the heel now! It's going great. There is definitely another pair of these in my future! How do you think they would like in yarntini vintage - striped?

Posted by: Sarah at May 1, 2007 09:54 AM

Yeah, I still haven't read my whole SLR manual... there are some good tutorials online too though, and I did go through those :)

Posted by: Lolly at May 1, 2007 10:19 AM

I say go for the Mac. We have one and LOVE it. Definitely get the 20incher. I am an enabler. ;)

I'm knitting the Rosie sock with Plucky as soon as my yarn gets here! GREAT pattern. It made me laugh so hard where you listed gauge as "Meh."...that is so me. I have issues waiting and taking the time to get gauge.

Have a great day mopping up the pre-brownie salivation.

you can buy brownies on etsy?! wow, yum!

Posted by: gleek at May 1, 2007 10:42 AM

OMG - those brownies have made me drool too! can't wait to see your finished opera gloves - those are going to be awesome. I just got my sockpal, too - very exciting!!

Posted by: Elizabeth at May 1, 2007 02:43 PM

you are the threadless queen! that shirt is so adorable.

Posted by: carrie m at May 1, 2007 05:36 PM

I think I squealed out loud when I saw that tee last night!! SO cute!

Man, those brownies look amazing!

Oh & that sock is lovely too!!!!

Such good things here today!

Posted by: Leah at May 1, 2007 06:18 PM

that is so funny about your camera. i just got a new one myself and have been COMPLETELY avoiding the damn manual. then i wonder why i can't figure the thing out. somehow, i think winging it is easier than forcing myself to read. (and i'm a writer, for pete's sake.)

Posted by: k at May 1, 2007 08:07 PM

That hoodie is great! Get it!

I want to buy the Haiku t-shirt but now that I've got to nourish a baby buying cute t-shirts it out for a while. Oh well...

Brownies on Etsy... why not?

Posted by: Aimee at May 1, 2007 09:33 PM

I got the T Shirt version of the hoodie - it was too cute to resist!

Posted by: stacey at May 2, 2007 10:35 AM

Hoodie love!! So cute!
But those brownie look decadent. You HAVE to let us know how they TASTE. I'm imagining dark and gooey chocolate heaven.

Posted by: Katie at May 2, 2007 11:14 AM

Yeah, that hoodie is a cute one for sure. And I am so jealous of your slr I want one SO BADLY!!

Posted by: Heather at May 2, 2007 07:58 PM

Hey! I just found your Charade pattern from someone else's blog. I really like it, I think it may be my sockapalooza pattern. Seems like a good step up from the basic stockinette socks I've made so far. Thanks for the pattern!

Posted by: Jen at May 2, 2007 10:55 PM

Brownies. On. Etsy.

Sweet Jesus, just take me now.

Posted by: April at May 4, 2007 01:48 AM

You've made me covet that sheep design for a T-shirt! If the international shipping doesn't cost more than the shirt I might just buy one... time to do some research...

Posted by: Nicola at May 4, 2007 04:15 AM

I didn't know you could buy dessert on Etsy! AWESOME.

Posted by: jenna at May 4, 2007 01:08 PM

Oooh, your pictures are looking good!

And I want those brownies. Must. Have. Brownies.

Posted by: Kim at May 4, 2007 02:53 PM

I had not yet seen that Threadless design. Or the brownies!

Posted by: knitopia at May 4, 2007 10:12 PM

I LOVE your blog banner ;-)
I hope you hear from your sock pal soon...I haven't heard from mine either.

Posted by: Carrie at May 4, 2007 10:17 PM

I LOVE that design for the hoodie! That's absolutely perfect -- as sheep made of yarn!

Those gloves and socks are awesome!

You should be proud you've even considered reading the manual to the camera within the past 6 months. I really don't think I ever had read a manual...I just whip things out and push buttons until something works.

Well if you're gonna get the iMac (which I so recommend) maybe wait till 10.5 comes out, since it ought to be out soon. Or is it already out? Well anyways, yes get a 10.5.

Hey, thanks for the hello! I actually saw your message and laughed about it a few days ago. I would have commented, but I was sure that I was going to screw up the "secret" part of all this and somehow have my comment link back to me. (If I did actually do that, pretend you didn't see it and claim ignorance, okay?) But I just saw your sad post on the Sockapalooza 4 blog about getting burned in previous swaps, so I figured I'd better get over my fear of messing-up-the-secret part of this swap. Don't worry! I'm planning on Super Sock Swapping you, whatever the hell that means. Anyway, don't worry. I may worry, trying to find a pattern or sock yarn that you haven't tried before--LOL. I can tell you that you're definitely NOT getting a Jaywalker. You seem to have the market cornered on that pattern. Seriously, if you think of any more dislikes or sock desires, please email me. This is going to be great! Glad to meet you...

Posted by: Your Sockapalooza Pal at May 5, 2007 10:04 AM

So, how were the brownies?

Posted by: Sarah at May 6, 2007 09:49 AM

Just downloaded the sock pattern. I love it!
