Project Spectrum 2.0, here I come! (for this month's installment, anyway)
I suppose I have a million excuses for not taking part in the first round of Lolly's most inspiring Project Spectrum till now. But I also suppose that me whining is something the majority of you can do without.
Now that I think about it I haven't taken part in any knit-a-long type dealies for quite some time. Seriously, anyways. The main reason why this is because I have the attention span of a guppy. Oh, and I tend to freak out at the mention of "deadlines" of any sort and thus become the Overlord of the Procrastinators.
But Lolly is just so chill about everything, I feel zero pressure. :) And let me tell ya, I had some fun poking around the house and taking pics of all things pink, green, and yellow (April/May's theme).

The cherry quartz ring is a belated Valentine's Day gift alongside some cute fabric earrings I bought for myself a while ago from, uh, Urban Outfitters(?)

Cactus plant plush from My Paper Crane

A bouquet of daisies i got from the Boyfriend more than a week ago. They're a little wilted, yes, but damn yo, these flowers are still going strong.

I'm a big fan of a clean aesthetic when it comes to interior design so I tend to surround myself with a lot of neutrals. Mostly black and white. However, sometimes I like to go really nutty (!!!!) and buy throw pillows (black and white, mind you) with itty-bitty colored felt appliques on it to liven up my black and white bedspread. Wheee!

a painting my parents bought on my first b-day. Hey, some parents buy their one-year-olds toys, my parents art they found at some antique fair. Click here to see the inscription on the back.
and finally. . .

my project for Project Spectrum April/May: Ms. Oni Opera Gloves in Yarn Pirate sock yarn in "Culture Club." Thanks a bunch to Kate for letting me give her fabulous pattern a test run. Until I finish these gloves I think I'm gonna put all of my other knitting projects on the back burner.
Soooo, what things pink, yellow, and green have you been cooking up for Project Spectrum?

I absolutely love your Ms. Oni Opera Gloves! Great colors too. Do you know how/when the pattern will be available?

Hey, aren't you supposed to wait for the Yarntini yarn to make the gloves? Although I understand that you would have to cast on immediately!
