Meet the Mets, meet the Mets. . .
The New York Mets:
- currently have the best record in all of baseball
- have the best fight song ever
- have the best mascot ever
- have the coolest team colors ever
Pattern: "Lichin Ribbed Socks" from Knitting Vintage Socks
Yarn: Custom-dyed "Mets" colorway from Yarnmonster (aka Jess)
Needles: US 2 circular needes (32') from Knitpicks
I tried my darnest to get an identical pair of socks for once. My favorite thing about these socks are the little dots you see at the end of the toes. Reminds me of the orange button you'll find on the top of the traditional Mets caps.
Quite fitting, me thinks.

Oh.My.God! I am dying right now. I friggin' L-O-V-E THEM! Your Mets and my Dodgers played some great baseball this weekend, didn't they? I haven't had much time to watch 'em, but I do keep up with the stats! I am dying for some Dodger socks. I might just have to make some myself!

Love the sox! (both Bosox and the ones you knitted.) I lived in NJ as a kid and loved the Metsies fight song, then moved to Mass. and fell in love with the '67 Impossible Dream Red Sox, so I'm here to tell you there is totally such a thing as divided allegiance. Things look dark for Boston, so I'm rootin' for your Mets.
