Vacation, all I ever wanted.
Man, I've been feeling kinda burnt out lately. I think I might have to take a mini-vacation from this here bloggie. Maybe for a couple of weeks. I think I should have at least two FOs to show off by then. And one of them won't even be socks, I swear. Oh, and I'll actually update those progress bars you see to your right so you can keep track of what I'm working on during my hiatus if you are curious at all.
Anyhoo, here are some random pictures.
I tried dying some self-striping yarn yesterday. (psst, clicking on the pictures makes 'em bigger)
God knows if I actually did this right. I'll knit up a swatch and see what happens.
I also bought this over the weekend.
Isn't it cute? I'll be keeping track of its progress over at Flickr . Stop by and see how long I go before I end up killing my little buddy over here. (I sooo don't have a green thumb at all.)
Well, that's it for now. Take care till next time.
:)

I love your yarn colors. And I'm thinking - how come I can't find a sock yarn with those colors?! Looking foward to seeing how it knits up.
Oh, the eggling is very cute and clever! Good luck. It might be that you just haven't found the right plant. :) I can infinitely kill jade plants, but I can also infinitely keep ficus, grape ivy, and purple passion alive.

ooh, love that sock yarn! you and your sophisticated dyes. how'd you like that walking around the chairs a million times thing?

the yarn really is a spectacular, unique colorway. seems sort of forest-y or minty fresh or something.
we'll miss you, but enjoy your hiatus.

I saw those eggs at Urban Outfitters and was very tempted. I'll have to live vicariously through you!

Your yarn looks great! I keep meaning to try my hand at dyeing self-striping...but it hasn't happened yet.
Have fun with your eggling! =)

I'll have you know that you've given me the courage to give self-striping dying a try. And I don't know if that's a good thing.... I have a tendency to be a little.... obsessive... I can see my house covered in shades of purple now....
BTW, happy little eggy! Have you heard of the Easteregg plant? http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/2017/ It's related to the eggplant. It's not edible (not poisonous but it supposedly tastes awful) but kids are totally wowed by watching eggs grow in their garden!

Strange... I changed my Myspace layout last week, and just realized that you have the same brown pattern here. How did that happen?! :P
Anyway, that eggling is awesome!!! I want one!!!
Why are you leaving me? Where are you going? Please come back soon.
