Self Portrait Tuesday (I'm late, I know!)
I stumbled upon this site called Self Portrait Tuesday while just checking out some random blog the other night. I've been telling myself that I need to go out and take more pictures. And I don't mean shots of some scarf I finished but real artsy type stuff. To take time each and every day and step back and reflect on how beautiful and freaking awesome life can be ( In the crazy yet hot neighbor boy from American Beauty who likes fliming plastic bags floating in the wind sort of way).
So anyhoo, I taking part in this little excercise. What better way to motivate myself to carry a camera around than to take non-stop pictures of me, me, glorious me! There is a theme every month and October's is "self documentary series". Here is the my first installment.
"Home from Work" (or "Me? Knitting? Get out!")

So I discovered that my camera (Canon Powershot SD 300) has an "indoor" and "black/white" feature. Not to mention a 10-second timer. Wow, who knew? And I used all three for these here pics for the very first time.
Enjoy.

Very nice photos. I too would like to get out and take more photos of the world at large, but putting in the time is hell. Good luck with that.

that makes me want to explore my camera a little more =)
awesome stuff from Rhinebeck - I think I'll have to start spinning my own stuff, it'll be a few years before I can spend $32 on one hank without fainting on the spot. but it is beeooooootiful!

Nice. My favorite is #2, the one with you and the computer and the phone and the knitting. Neat.
Re: Socks that Rock. Its kinda true that some yarns just look better as a skein (and that one looks fabulous). If I were really rich I would just buy skeins of yarn to hang around the house to fondle and look at. But really, the blotchy is strange, but at least it forms a pattern. It looks all psyco-delic and wavy. Wavy Gravy Socks.
P.S. Damn! $32 a skein and you bought more than one! You are my hero.
